About David Cusick

I married my high school sweetheart who happened to be a piano performance music major. I had never been exposed to the piano before. I quickly became acquainted to them when I ended up moving one in the back of a pickup truck. I would not recommend it, by the way, the things we do for love. Anyhow, we had a piano technician come to our home to tune the piano. He took it apart and showed me some of the interior parts. With 10-12,000 moving parts to take apart in a piano, I was hooked. I became very interested in how the piano worked. Over a period in time I found out the best piano technology program was in Boston, Massachusetts. After much discussion, I took a leap of faith and left my wife, who had a busy piano teaching business to spend the next year at North Bennett Street School in the North End of Boston. After a long year of being away from my wife and home, I graduated from North Bennett Street School in 2003, first in my class and was presented with the Golden Mute Award. When I came home I started working for Steinway Piano Gallery. While there I was able to hone my skills while picking up many more. After 21 years, I left Steinway Piano Gallery to start my own business.
